Personal Assistant - Chorley
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to provide support to a 9-year-old boy who is Autistic with a Pathological Demand Avoidant (PDA) profile, has Sensory Processing Difficulties, and is very active. Support will be provided within his own home and within the local community.
As a Personal Assistant, your duties will include:
1. Supporting with co-regulation.
2. Adopting parent-led strategies and techniques.
3. Encouraging engagement in activities within the home using sensory equipment.
4. Facilitating inclusion within the local community, including transportation.
We are looking for a reliable, energetic, flexible, and patient individual with a good sense of humour and a passion for supporting others who loves the outdoors and swimming. An interest in Minecraft, Roblox, or YouTube is an advantage. Must not be allergic to animals as this is a pet-friendly environment.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. A positive attitude and a proactive work ethic are essential. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This is a part-time position for 9 hours per week to be worked flexibly with an hourly rate of £14.00 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and a workplace pension scheme. Work pattern to be discussed at the interview stage.
