The role
As Head of Production and Site Operations, you’ll oversee manufacturing operations, implement best practices, and optimize processes for increased efficiency and quality in vehicle production. You’ll lead and develop teams to enable progressive change for flexible production systems to meet ever-changing demand.
* Collaborate with the Production Director to develop and execute strategic plans for the production facility in alignment with the company’s growth objectives.
* Lead initiatives to enable military and government vehicle manufacturing output and efficiency to meet increased demand.
* Drive a positive cultural shift by modernizing ways of working, fostering innovation, and promoting a collaborative and inclusive environment.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and meet military and government specifications.
* Build and lead a high-performing production team, focusing on talent development and creating a culture of excellence.
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and is based on site at Walsall.
Essential experience:
* Automotive and/or defence or manufacturing experience with understanding of fabrication and metal work.
* Experience of working in a regulatory environment.
* Proven track record in managing large-scale, multi-factory manufacturing operations.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to lead change in a dynamic environment.
* Strong quality and/or process adherence experience.

Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) and NPPV security clearance for this role.
