To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of data inputting duties. These can include, but are not limited to, reading coding information from patient records, correspondence from other care service providers and other sources on the practice clinical system, adhering to the policies and procedures.
This role is 21 hours per week.

The Heron Medical Practice is a group of GP surgeries in Herne Bay and surrounding areas. Across 3 sites, our team consists of 7 GP Partners, 5 Salaried GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, paramedics and pharmacists and a strong support team of non-clinical staff.
Job responsibilities
Administrator
* Ensure all correspondence, reports, results etc. are filed in correct records and kept up to date
* Management of medical records
* Provide administrative support to members of the primary health care team
* Process cervical screening lists
* Process all PCSE tasks GMS3s, requests labels etc.
* Registration and deduction of patients, liaising with patients and PCSE
* Instructing staff as necessary on the use of the computer
* Liaising with IT Helpdesks in regard to computer/clinical system problems
* Scanning and recording all incoming post, filing EDTs via Docman
* Processing admin emails
* Process all admin EMIS workflows GP2GP, Registration, SCR etc.
* Processing online services applications and troubleshooting online services issues
* Other duties as per doctors' instructions as dictated by changes in the nature of The Heron Medical Practice
Clinical coder
* Read coding data on EMISWEB
* Extracting the required data from clinical correspondence and inputting the data into the patients electronic healthcare record
* Coding all secondary care (hospital) letters
* Code results and upload data as required
* Support the team in the use of the clinical system
* Provide guidance in troubleshooting when requested
* Collate the required data for reporting purposes
* Maintain effective security of data at all times
* To attend training where applicable and ensuring all mandatory training is kept up to date.

* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
* GCSE Mathematics & English (C or above)
* NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
