The work pattern advertised is Monday to Friday with some travel as required to visit our other sites and occasional weekend work.

What you will you be doing as our HGV Driver Trainer?
* Undertaking assessment of new drivers during recruitment process to identify training needs.
* Using a respectful and kind approach provide training and mentoring for new drivers and current drivers who require additional support with their driving performance
* To carry out inductions to all new drivers, completing all relevant training documents.
* To carry out unannounced gate checks with drivers and vehicles
* To plan and deliver driver training program in line with driver CPC requirements and company program in both classroom and field-based environments.
* In addition to providing driver training, it would be your responsibility to record all training, ensuring consistency and up to date records are kept and given to Operations Teams.
* Managing and supporting JAUPT system audits and associated work.
* To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required, consistent with the nature and level of the post.
What skills & qualifications do you need to be our HGV Driver Trainer?
* You’ll have previous experience as an HGV Driver Trainer, with Assessment Related qualifications i.e. QTS, CET, DET, AET, or membership of a recognised trainer register (RADAT, RHA, NRI), or any other recognised driver training qualification
* You’ll be CPC Qualified and hold a full UK HGV C+E Driving License
* You’ll be available to travel and stay overnight as required to deliver the Company program in both classroom and field-based environments
* You’ll work collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating strong IT and communication skills
* You’ll keep up to date with developments in training i.e., reading relevant journals, going to meetings, and attending relevant courses
* Confident in face to face and remote delivery
* Good working knowledge of current legislation
* Good interpersonal skills and good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work flexibly
