Our global headquarters are in a fantastic London location, overlooking Hyde Park near Marble Arch. The office is home to our Executive Board and colleagues working across a range of global functions. The majority of the team split their time between home and office. The site is set up to support hybrid working and promote collaboration. It is a progressive workspace with a mix of different areas including meeting pods, sofas, an outside terrace, a quiet library room and a wellbeing space.
The Role
L&D Commercial Capability Specialist is a newly appointed role within Tate & Lyle. You will be responsible for the development of commercial competence frameworks, methodologies and standards. Working with internal stakeholders, you will play a vital role in our commercial transformation, and our Winning with Customers initiative.
Identifying and sourcing tools necessary to unlock high-performance results, we want to ensure our commercial development and training is the best experience possible. You will play a crucial role in creating better outcomes for T&L, maximising capabilities and remaining competitive in the future.
What you'll be doing
1. Partner with Business to provide recommendations on commercial competence development solutions.
2. Provide guidance and expertise on learning and development challenges organisation-wide.
3. Set direction for Capability framework, policies, tools, governance and minimum standards.
4. Custodian of strategic competency frameworks and select solutions that can be consistently applied across Regions / Functions.
5. Enable the desired continuous learning culture and be accountable for technology enablers in this regard.
6. Lead the development of priority learning and development solutions to support the roll-out of strategic initiatives.
7. Seek external emerging trends and best practices to share with internal community of practice.
8. Work closely with business units, all relevant learning teams and 3rd party suppliers to research, shape and recommend appropriate, pragmatic, and impactful learning solutions in line with business requirements and programme deliverables.
9. Lead the design activity including external designers and manage the delivery programme working with internal delivery teams.
10. Arrange walkthrough and sign offs of training proposals and of the solution with key stakeholders.
11. Manage timescales and budgets, make recommendations and take appropriate actions to ensure delays, difficulties are communicated to key stakeholders.
12. Calculate detailed costs, track monthly, identify any cost saving opportunities.
13. Agree suitable evaluation approaches and review MI to identify opportunities to drive ongoing efficiency and effectiveness of learning.
What you'll have
1. Strong experience within the Learning & Development sector.
2. Previous Project Management within a learning and development department.
3. Awareness of commercial/sales capability.
4. Learning and Development Designer experience (desirable but not essential).
5. Project & budget management.
6. Management of learning professionals.
7. Organisational Skills to manage multiple projects, multitask, be proactive and ability to work on own with minimal guidance.
8. Deliver change and drive improvement through learning solutions.
9. Stakeholder Management / Managing Relationships – ability to work at all levels including senior stakeholders.
