The STEM department is keen to recruit a highly effective and innovative Lecturer in Computing & IT who can deliver on a wide range of computing, digital and IT programmes, ranging from Entry Level through to Level 3 programmes for 16-18 year olds and adult learners. We welcome applications for this exciting opportunity from qualified individuals and from candidates who are new to teaching and have relevant and applicable subject or industry experience in computing and IT.

Our Centre of Digital Excellence (CODEs) was opened in 2022 and offers students some of the best facilities in the region for studying IT and Computing, with a focus on Esports and Games Development.
You will be joining the College’s STEM department at an exciting time. Our new multi-million pound STEM facility is currently being built, scheduled to open in 2025. Standing at four storeys, the new building will be home to a suite of modern teaching and interactive spaces including automotive and engineering workshops which will house facilities enabling students to train with composites, robotics, materials, renewable energies, additive manufacturing, CAD, CNC, electric and hybrid vehicle technology, as well as petrol and diesel vehicles. There will also be dedicated suites for computing and an array of modern science laboratories.
As our Lecturer in STEM - Computing & IT, you will have a passion for teaching as well as an imaginative and creative approach in the classroom, with a focus on student learning and support. You will be able to deliver engaging and inspiring teaching, learning and assessment using current technology and have an ability to adapt teaching styles for the learners on these courses.
The post will commence from August 2025.
