To support the development of student's emotional literacy and social skills through specific and targeted intervention. To support students’ academic and social communication needs and to support positive social and emotional well-being, enabling them to engage in learning in and out of the college environment. Skills/experience: Experience of supporting students/young people with specific additional needs Proven experience of dealing with behavioural issues and having the resilience required to deal with these challenging situations effectively Understanding of SEND Code of practice Ability to build trusting relationship with students, their parents/carers and other stakeholders Ability to work calmly under pressure and ensure that deadlines are met whilst maintaining a positive and optimistic attitude Qualifications: Minimum GCSE grade 4 / C in English & Maths or equivalent.
