Reporting to the Shift Manager and working in a small team to ensure maximum output and efficiency from your machines, you will be expected to be Health and Safety motivated with a proactive approach to learning. The successful candidate is required to work 12-hour shifts (4 on 4 off) on a 24/7 pattern which includes nights and weekends. In return, you will receive an annual salary of £29,607.14 or £32,748.97 (depending on previous experience). Key duties of a General Assistant: Be accountable for own and others health and safety whilst at work, operating in line with SSOW (safe systems of work) and company procedures to enable a safe working environment (including challenging/reporting unsafe behaviours). Be responsible for the operation of machinery to ensure efficiencies are maximised and downtime is minimised. Achieve set productivity and performance targets ensuring consistent quality standards are met. To ensure maintenance and cleaning tasks are carried out correctly and in line with the planned maintenance schedule. Support and assist with improvement initiatives.
