Taylor Blackwood Associates are recruiting for an automotive mechanical machinist.
The Machinist role will be centred around supporting re-manufacture, working in the torque converter assessing, machining, assembly, and final inspection of product to support other UK sites.
With a wide variety of skills required, experience using manual equipment such as lathes, drillers, and welding equipment are essential.
Key Accountabilities
1. To be able to use engineering equipment such as lathes, drillers, air tools, and welding equipment to manufacture any component required by the department.
2. To follow production procedures and work instructions where possible.
3. To be able to access and remanufacture production components required by the department.
4. To complete this in adequate time and required quality standards.
5. To train others if required.
6. To be able to work as part of a team.
7. To support other areas in the department when needed.
8. Completion of relevant paperwork and daily check sheets.
9. To keep work area clean and tidy.
Requirements, Experience, and Education
1. Machine shop experience, NVQ level 2 (if possible).
2. Basic manual lathe machining experience.
3. Basic drilling machine experience.
4. Use of measuring equipment; Digital Vernier, Micrometres.
5. Manufacture of components to specific tolerances.
