Privacy Manager - Data Protection Privacy Impact Assessments
Salary: £39,777, 10% annual bonus potential, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays pro rata and company pension scheme with highly competitive contribution rates.
Location: Royal Mail, Pond Street, Sheffield, S98 6HR. This is a Hybrid working role with a requirement to attend our Sheffield office every Tuesday and one to two further, flexible days.
We are looking for a Privacy Manager who is able to hit the ground running to manage Data Protection Privacy Impact Assessments and join us on a 6-month fixed term contract at Royal Mail Group, with potential to extend.
Responsibilities:
* Enable and support business units to conduct formal Data Protection Impact Assessments and associated assessments.
* Identify risks in personal data processing and work with the business to mitigate those risks.
* Maintain accurate records regarding data processing activity within Royal Mail.
* Complete privacy assessments and ensure an accurate record of personal data processing.
About You:
* Experience of completing Data Protection/Privacy Impact Assessments.
* Good understanding and experience of applying the lawful bases for processing under the UK GDPR.
* Experience of rigorous analysis of complex issues and delivery of pragmatic solutions.
* Experience of onboarding new suppliers and completing risk assessments regarding data transfers.

* Ensure that Royal Mail business units processing personal data consider the risks and adopt appropriate technical and organisational measures as required by GDPR.
* Create and maintain compliance documentation, which is vital to other work and a regulatory requirement.
