We are looking for dynamic, forward thinking B6 registered nurses, to join our endoscopy team at the state of the art Endoscopy Unit in the East Midlands Planned Care Centre (EEMPCC) at Leicester General Hospital. This is a purpose built endoscopy unit, with 6 procedure rooms, 20 individual pods for patients and training facilities. This is your chance to help shape the future of endoscopy within UHL. Look at new innovated ways of working, evolve a center of excellence for both endoscopy and training, achieve JAG accreditation, network through East Midlands Endoscopy Group and take part in research and development. As well as patients, Staff wellbeing is at the centre of everything we do and you will be supported by the senior management team and the endoscopy clinical educators in your role. We offer plenty of opportunities for progression to senior roles, specialist nurse roles and nurse endoscopist. We can also offer rotational posts between the EEMPCC and our acute endoscopy department at Leicester Royal Infirmary with opportunities to spend time at the community endoscopy units and the gastro wards if you so desire. This is a 7 day service covering the hours of 7.30am until 6.30pm with a rota for staff to stay late if needed and an on call night service covering all 3 UHL units. Visible clinical expertise, leading multidisciplinary teams daily to provide direction, effective and inspirational leadership within their area of responsibility Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence based care to patients Co-ordination and supervision of staff involved in all aspects of clinical duties Deputise and manage the clinical area in absence of the Ward Leader Participate in the effective clinical leadership of the team Actively contribute to the improvement of services and quality of care provision to meet the needs of patients, service users and their families Act as a role model, mentoring, teaching, assessing and supporting students/learners on placement and participate in the education, development and mentorship of other staff Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).
