Academics are currently recruiting for a fantastic mainstream Primary School who are setting up the establishment of a new Enhanced Learning Provision (ELP) for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and are seeking a passionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team.
Role Overview: Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Croydon
The successful candidate will work closely with their new ELP, providing support to children with ASD starting with early years. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young Children and contribute to the development of the ELP.
Key Responsibilities: Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Croydon
* Support teachers in the delivery of tailored learning programs for students with ASD.
* Assist individual students or small groups, promoting engagement and understanding of the curriculum.
* Help create a supportive and inclusive environment for all children, fostering their social and emotional development.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
* Collaborate with other staff and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
* Support the implementation of behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions.
* Ability to commute to Croydon
Qualifications and Skills: Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Croydon
* Experience working with children, preferably in a primary school setting.
* Understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and related educational strategies.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support children with additional needs.
