Enso Recruitment is partnering with a global professional services organisation to recruit a Security Data Loss Prevention Engineer for their Belfast-based team. This hybrid role is suited to a seasoned professional with a strong background in Microsoft security technologies and enterprise-level DLP experience.
This is a key hire into an established global security function, with a focus on managing and developing the company’s Data Loss Prevention (DLP) capabilities. The successful candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft Purview, M365, and Proofpoint, and will play a central role in shaping and enforcing data protection strategies across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide DLP policies
* Respond to DLP alerts and collaborate with incident response teams to resolve issues
* Monitor tool performance and maintain DLP systems across both endpoint and cloud environments
* Align DLP strategies with business and regulatory requirements
* Provide clear reporting to stakeholders on data protection trends and incidents
* Work with business owners and technical teams to ensure standards are met and maintained
* Contribute to a continuous improvement programme for DLP effectiveness
Requirements:
* 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Data Loss Prevention roles
* Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies: Microsoft 365, Purview, Proofpoint
* In-depth knowledge of Microsoft DLP capabilities and experience writing policies for large, complex organisations
* Experience in Microsoft 365 Information and Risk Management (IRM) environments
* Familiarity with enterprise data classification, compliance frameworks (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA), and insider risk management practices
* Relevant certifications (e.g. SC-400, AZ-500, CISSP, MS-900) preferred
* Skilled in DLP policy development, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to a non-technical audience
* Demonstrated ability to work independently in a global team setting
