I am currently looking for a number of plant layout engineers to work for a global leader in civil Nuclear engineering, based in Bristol.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Layout engineering to improve and modify the design on the following:
2. Implementation of mechanical and electrical equipment
3. Routing piping, HVAC systems, and electrical cable trays
4. Ensure consistency between process & instrumentation diagrams and the 3D model
5. Responsible for production of technical documents (progress reports, status reports, equipment introduction notes, change impact analyses, design procedures, etc.)
6. Responsible for issuing layout drawings to the various teams and coordinate layout activities by ensuring compliance with the layout rules
Experience:
Essential:
1. Degree qualified in appropriate technical discipline
2. Experience in one or several areas of engineering: piping, mechanical, HVAC, safety etc.
3. Good knowledge and understanding of general layout rules for an industrial project
Desirable:
1. Knowledge of the general operation of a nuclear power station and the associated safety aspects (in particular, aspects relating to flooding, fire, radiological protection, high energy line ruptures, etc)
2. Previous nuclear industry experience
3. Previous experience involving PWRs (pressurised water reactors)
4. Previous experience working with 3D design software such as Navisworks, AutoCAD, PDMS, E3D etc
5. French language skills
