Your role and responsibilities fulfil Suffolk County Council's statutory duty by conducting regular highway safety inspections respond to customer reports by carrying out ad-hoc safety inspections and providing updates on the outcomes initiate reactive repair works based on inspection findings to restore the highway to a safe condition perform regular audits of completed works to ensure high-quality standards are upheld employ AI technology to assess the condition of the highway effectively. The team Join our dynamic Highways Assessment team, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the highway network is safe for use and maintenance activities are prioritised and completed. You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team of 21 Highways Assessment Officers who are led by 3 Highways Assessment Engineers.
