We are looking for an efficient and motivated individual to join our Team as a Business Unit Support Secretary within the Child Health Directorate. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join our busy administrative team to provide secretarial support to the Management and wider teams.
This post is part time 22.5 hours per week. Hours and days to be confirmed at interview.
The post base is advertised at North Tyneside General Hospital.

Main duties of the job
1. Support the Business Unit and Senior Management team within the Child Health Directorate with all administrative and clerical duties.
2. Act up in absence of a Business Unit Secretary for periods of annual leave/short-term sickness absence. This may include additional days cover to support the needs of the service.
3. Manage diaries, arrange/minute meetings, communication with GPs.
4. Typing & transcription of meetings, clinical & non-clinical documents.
5. Ensure all Outsourcing tracking, documentation, administration and appointment processing is kept up to date and follow ups are completed appropriately.
6. Resource management - ordering of supplies & equipment.

Job responsibilities
To provide a high quality comprehensive secretarial and administrative support service to the Business Unit Secretaries and Senior Leadership team within the Child Health Business Unit.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language or equivalent knowledge.
* A recognised secretarial qualification to at least RSA 3 typing/word processing, audio skills and shorthand or equivalent experience.
Experience and Knowledge
* Experience of working in the healthcare field, minimum of 3 years.
* Good knowledge of ESR, PAS, iProcurement and Enable systems.
* ECDL.
Skills and Abilities
* Experience of formal Minute taking and Committee work.
Other Requirements
* You may also need to travel between Trust premises as required for the performance of your duties. You may also be expected to work at any of the trust sites. The Trust would consider making reasonable adjustments to the role, if necessary, to enable a disabled person to undertake the role.
