We’re looking for a People Administrator to join our team at Wincanton on 6 month fixed term contract, based at our Blackburn site. We are looking for strong organisation and communication skills. You will report directly to the sites People Advisor, where you will provide HR guidance and administration support for our site-based management teams.
The role provides the opportunity to develop HR knowledge and experience in a range of activities around recruitment and onboarding, employee lifecycle and employee relations.
Successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain security clearance prior to commencing employment, this includes providing 5 years of UK residence and employment/education history.

Day to Day
* General administrative support to the People Team
* Ensure accurate HR records on all employees are maintained accurately and are compliant with Data Protection legislation and company policies.
* Give basic advice on Company policies and procedures to staff and managers
* Liaise with Shared Services team as appropriate and as needed
* Provide administrative support to meetings under the Company’s Behaviour, Attendance and Grievance policies
* Develop an effective relationship with the site management team
* Provide HR support for ad-hoc projects where required
* Alongside the wider People Team, support engagement, wellbeing and diversity, inclusion and belonging initiatives
* Maintaining electronic filing processes to ensure documentation is easily searchable and identifiable
* Data control – reviewing when documents are due to expire and ensure records are securely destroyed where required
* Support recruitment activities where required, ensuring compliance to internal policies
