As the Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth within your designated territory. You will manage existing client accounts, identify and secure new business opportunities, and act as a trusted advisor to customers, promoting our range of pneumatic and fluid power products. Build and sustain strong client relationships by understanding technical requirements and providing solutions using our advanced range of pneumatic and fluid power products. New Business Development: Identify and engage prospective clients, presenting tailored pneumatic solutions to meet their needs. Sales Planning: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets. Product Expertise: Gain a thorough understanding of the company’s pneumatic product range and its applications, providing expert guidance to customers. Market Insights: Monitor market trends and competitor activity, providing feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies. Customer Support: Work closely with technical and support teams to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve any issues promptly. Reporting: Prepare sales reports and forecasts for management, detailing performance against targets and key insights. Key Requirements Technical Background: Proven experience in technical sales or business development, ideally within the pneumatic, fluid power, or industrial automation sectors. Expertise in Fluid Power Products: In-depth knowledge of fluid power components, including pneumatic actuators, control valves, air preparation units, fittings, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems integration. Technical Communication Skills: Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical, client-focused solutions. Results-Oriented: Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets through a consultative and technically informed approach. Field-Based Autonomy: Self-motivated and disciplined, capable of managing a field-based role with frequent regional travel. Qualifications: Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification preferred; strong hands-on knowledge of fluid power systems will be highly regarded. Driving License: Full UK driving license required.
