Robert Walters has been exclusively assigned to support a market-leading logistics business in the recruitment of an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team in Staffordshire. This role is integral to the efficient business and operational management of the site, with a focus on embedding health and safety policies and procedures across the contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring safety-related systems, promoting an understanding that effective management of health and safety is an integral part of efficient business operations.

What You'll Do
As a Health & Safety Manager, your role will be pivotal in maintaining a safe working environment across the site. You will be responsible for:
1. Championing health and safety awareness
2. Coordinating safety-related processes such as risk assessments, training sessions, accident investigations, and workplace safety audits
3. Advising management on health & safety legislation, safe methods of working, prevention of hazards to health and the suitability of plant, protective equipment and control measures
4. Maintaining the Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) plan and supporting delivery of all associated actions
5. Facilitating the reporting and investigation of all H&S incidents, ensuring that root cause is identified
What You Bring
The ideal candidate for this Health & Safety Manager position brings a wealth of experience from a similar role within a logistics environment. You hold at least a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. Your qualifications include:
1. Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
2. Demonstrable experience in a similar role within a logistics environment
3. Experience in assisting with the effective implementation of a H&S management system
4. Effective interpersonal, management and communication skills
5. Organised and detail-oriented
6. Good IT and data analysis skills
