Are you passionate about improving access to psychological interventions for people with Psychosis and Bipolar Disorder? We are looking to recruit a Clinical / Counselling Psychologist or CBT therapist to join our developing pathway for people with a diagnosis of Psychosis or Bipolar.
This is a community-based role within Sarum Community Mental Health Team (Salisbury). As a key member of the multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for offering high-quality psychological treatments and family interventions as part of the Psychosis and Bipolar Pathway. Case consultation and joint work with team members will also be an expectation. You will have plenty of scope and support to develop your own practice, whilst providing a highly professional service to people with psychosis and their families. In addition to holding a clinical caseload, you will have opportunities to develop leadership skills including supervision, consultation and training. Research and service development opportunities are also available and encouraged.
We would welcome applications from candidates with post-qualification experience and also newly qualified psychologists and therapists with a strong interest in working with psychosis. BABCP accreditation /accreditable would be desirable.

Responsibilities
* To provide a psychology service to the Psychosis and Bipolar Pathway in Sarum CMHT, working therapeutically with clients that can present with complexity.
* To assess and treat a specialist workload of clients and maintain associated records.
* Participate in CPD and other developmental activities.
* Undertake R & D and clinical audit.
* Clinically supervise other psychological practitioners and the wider team in psychologically informed ways of working.

Clinical Responsibilities
* To provide a psychology service to the designated team including assessment and therapy both for individuals and groups as appropriate.
* To provide a specialist consultancy service to multidisciplinary teams and other agencies providing care for the client group.
* To participate in generic team duties as agreed by the operational manager and Psychology Lead as appropriate, to the needs of the service.
* To participate in clinical and caseload supervision arrangements provided by the Psychology Service.
* To maintain accurate records and to monitor clinical workload using agreed systems.
* To ensure timely recording of all data required by the Trust.
Professional Responsibilities
* To adhere to the HCPC / BABCP policies and procedures.
* To fully observe the BPS (1996) Code of Conduct and the DCP Guidelines for the Professional Practice of Clinical Psychology (1995).
* To be aware of, adhere to, and where appropriate, contribute to the formulation and review of Trust, Area and Clinical Psychology Service policies and procedures.
* To participate in local psychology meetings and Trust wide meetings as appropriate.
* To maintain and develop high standards of psychology / CBT practice by engaging in continuing professional development and co-operative working/networking with counselling and clinical psychologist colleagues / CBT therapists.
* To participate in an annual performance appraisal.
Service Governance Responsibilities
* To participate in service governance processes in the profession, ensuring a safe and effective service.
* To support and participate in multidisciplinary clinical audit.
* To liaise with other disciplines and agencies to ensure that best practice is shared.
* To promote the use of effective interventions in the service.
