Pratt & Whitney Canada (UK) Ltd (P&WC UK) provides in-field Mobile Repair Teams (MRT) and in-shop Heavy Engine Maintenance (HEMA) support throughout Europe, the Middle East & Africa (EMEA).
PURPOSE OF JOB
To provide in house and in-field engine repairs and refurbishment on Pratt & Whitney Canada aircraft engines - up to and including hot section inspection and line maintenance.
To project manage each engine, from initial contact with the customer, through to generation of commercial and technical reports in accordance with work performed.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Preferred experience with Pratt & Whitney Canada turbofan Engines (i.e PW300, PW500, PW600 and PW800)
Ensure all technical documentation has been correctly completed prior to commencement of work.
Ensure work scope has been correctly prepared in line with regulatory, customer and P&WC requirements.
Be aware the commercial aspects of the work requirements and negotiate with the customer as appropriate.
Maintain and complete work files and relevant documentation, showing detailed entries of work performed.
Check in and disassemble engines in line with work scope requirements and carry out basic cleaning of components as necessary.
Inspect all relevant components and identify items for scrap, rework or refit with reference to and interpretation of relevant product information.
Assemble engines to defined standards ensuring fit, clearance and modification levels are accurate using appropriate P&WC hand tools and measuring equipment.
Accurately update the technical pack throughout the build process to ensure its accuracy and completion prior to release of the engine. Complete and issue engine release certificates upon completion of engine maintenance.
Constantly seek improvements to turn time and cost reductions.
Generation of accurate cost estimates and technical reports as required, in adherence to the quoted costs. Ensure that the customer is advised of any escalation in costs before estimate values are exceeded
Work closely with the finance department to ensure accurate generation of invoices to ensure these are issued in line with company targets.
To generate good customer communication and issue regular status reports as necessary.
Provide support to customer engines, both in house at the facility in Luton and out in the field.
This position requires frequent overseas travel which can be at short notice.
