Teaching Assistant - Key Stage 2

This welcoming primary school in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work within a Key Stage 2 class, providing essential support to pupils with SEN on a 1-2-1 or small group basis.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be delivering 1-2-1 support for children with special educational needs including Autism, ADHD, and MLD.
Job Role:
1. Supporting children with special educational needs in a Key Stage 2 classroom
2. Providing tailored 1-2-1 and small-group interventions to support learning and development
3. Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons
4. Adapting resources to meet the needs of individual learners
5. Encouraging social and emotional development and promoting positive behaviour
6. Working closely with the SENCO, teachers, and parents to ensure each child receives the support they need
Requirements:
1. A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
2. Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a primary setting
3. A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting learning
4. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
5. A valid DBS on the update service
