UX Researcher Job Description
We are looking for a UX researcher who will deliver the best possible experience for the users of a website, making it as straightforward to use as possible. You will research user behavior and preferences, as well as analyze website content and design elements such as colors and images. UX researcher roles may overlap with those of UX analyst, UX designer, and UX architect.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Meet clients to gather information about their requirements and identify areas that need researching, designing, or usability testing.
2. Be involved in sketching, prototyping, and occasionally user testing, before passing the design onto the development team.
3. Understand qualitative research methods.
4. Be aware of costs and budgets.
5. Put users at the center of design to make it simple, easy to use, and aesthetically pleasing.
6. Present the stages of design development to business users confidently.
7. Work closely within a multidisciplinary team, including web developers and programmers.
8. Possess technical knowledge to explain requirements to programmers.
9. Ensure websites comply with legal standards.
Requirements and Skills:
1. Proven experience as a UX Researcher.
2. A mixture of creative and technical skills.
3. Excellent teamwork skills.
4. Strong verbal communication skills for presenting research findings and design decisions.
5. Strong written communication skills, including the ability to write website copy.
6. Creativity and innovation to generate new ideas.
7. Enthusiasm for design and technology.
8. Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
9. Experience using prototyping software tools, such as FlowMapp, Axure Pro, and VisuaSiteMaps.
10. Ability to use Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop.
