Booking/Reception Team Leader
Location: Rivers Hospital, Sawbridgeworth
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Full-time

The role:
We are looking for an experienced Booking/Reception Team Leader to join our Bookings Team at Rivers Hospital. The Bookings Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the bookings team, managing waiting lists, and ensuring a prompt, professional, friendly service for all users contacting the hospital.
Duties include:
* Managing all systems for receiving inpatient bookings.
* Prioritising service demands to meet capacity.
* Ensuring all inpatient booking forms are loaded within 48 hours.
* Delivering 80% activity booked at the start of each month.
* Booking activity at least 6 weeks in advance.
* Meeting all booking targets and developing the business positively.
* Monitoring and improving Key Performance Indicators.
* Ensuring all patients are pre-authorised before attending the hospital.
* Providing excellent customer service both over the phone and face-to-face.
* Leading the team to ensure all customers have required information in a timely manner.
* Developing training plans to ensure all team members are fully trained.
* Managing rotas, annual leave, and staff workloads.
* Providing HR management of staff.
* Monitoring and managing staff performance in accordance with hospital policies.
* Acting as a point of escalation for staff and service users.
* Deputising for the Operational Managers as needed.
