Job Responsibilities: As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals to provide individualised support to students. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the implementation of EHCPs and behaviour management strategies.
Supporting students in their academic activities, including reading, writing, and mathematics.
Facilitating independent learning and engagement in classroom activities.
Collaborating with teachers and therapists to adapt and modify curriculum materials to meet individual student needs.
Promoting social interaction and fostering a positive classroom environment.
Monitoring and recording student progress, behaviour, and achievements.
Assisting in the supervision of students during break times, outings, and extracurricular activities.
Maintaining a safe and clean classroom environment.Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant teaching assistant qualification or equivalent
Relevant experience working with children with complex needs and learning difficulties is highly desirable.
Knowledge of special education strategies and practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
A genuine passion for supporting the educational development of children with diverse needs.
