Nursing Accreditation and Quality Improvement Manager plays a vital role in maintaining excellent clinical standards and monitoring the quality of patient care, safety, and experience within the organisation. This role involves coordinating and delivering the trust-wide ward accreditation programme, including developing timelines, creating communication plans, allocating resources, preparing reports, and monitoring progress to achieve accreditation goals focused on patient safety and quality.
The postholder will support the Nursing Quality Improvement and Accreditation Lead in delivering trust-wide nursing ward accreditation and quality improvement projects aimed at achieving operational excellence, culture change, improved patient outcomes, and enhanced safety and patient experience.
He/she will co-drive initiatives to promote excellence in care, continually improving clinical standards and organisational KPIs. Effective decision-making, strong communication skills, and the ability to challenge, work independently, and collaborate within a team are essential for success in this role.
* The postholder will be supporting the Nursing Quality Improvement and Accreditation lead nurse with the delivery of trust-wide nursing accreditation and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the maintenance of high clinical standards while enhancing patient care, safety, and experience.
The post holder will also support the lead to plan and coordinate assessment and accreditation reviews of all nursing/midwifery clinical areas, focusing on professional standards, safety, and quality in line with national and local trust standards. This role requires effective decision-making, strong communication skills, and the ability to challenge, work independently, and collaborate effectively within a team.
