Job Title: Design Manager - Civil Engineering

A well-respected civil engineering contractor has a vacancy for a Design Manager based in the North West. They are an established company with a proven track record in the industry, managing a variety of projects across the country. They are seeking an individual with managerial experience to oversee the design team on multiple projects.
Your duties and responsibilities:
1. Manage designs during the preconstruction and construction phases of projects.
2. Develop and review design programmes and scopes.
3. Attend and present at meetings with stakeholders.
4. Ensure designs comply with legislation and technical requirements.
5. Embed sustainability considerations within the design process.
6. Coordinate the design team effectively.
7. Liaise with the wider project team to ensure construction aligns with design specifications.
The ideal candidate will have:
* A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* A full UK driving license.
* Experience in a similar role, preferably with major projects or Tier 1 contractors.
* Mobility to travel across the country when required (lodging expenses covered).
