We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. Duties
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
* Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with challenging behaviours.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
* Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
* Experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home settings is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of dementia care practices and patient care techniques.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
* Ability to demonstrate empathy and patience when dealing with clients' needs.
* Competence in meal preparation tailored to dietary requirements of clients.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
