Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Ideal for Aspiring Teachers
Are you a Core Subject Graduate (Maths, English, Science, or Humanities) looking to gain classroom experience before starting your PGCE? Do you have a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
We are looking for a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school and provide support across the curriculum. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, ideal for those considering a future in teaching or educational psychology.
Role Overview:
* Support students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs.
* Work 1:1 or in small groups, assisting with core subjects and wider curriculum areas.
* Develop classroom management skills and learn from experienced teachers.
* Provide emotional and academic support to help students engage in learning.
* Gain hands-on experience before progressing to a teacher training course.
What We’re Looking For:
* A genuine interest in education and supporting children with SEN.
* Resilience, patience, and a proactive attitude.
* Experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, coaching) is desirable.
