Job overview
An opportunity has arisen at North Cumbria Integrated Care based at Workington Hospital Coffee Bean Café Catering Department. This is for a total of 25 hours in the Coffee Bean. Working Monday 11am-4pm then Tuesday to Friday 10am-3pm
Main duties of the job
The job entails working in a busy work environment assisting with food preparation, taking temperatures, cleaning all crockery, disposing of waste, using industrial equipment, reporting faults and dealing with customer complaints. Working in the Staff Restaurant, Coffee Shop, Food Service on the wards, Main Kitchen. The successful applicant must have the ability to work alone and to work effectively as part of a team. This is a large area to work in and is a physically demanding job; you will be on your feet for most of the shift and must be able to work in both hot and cold environments. The employee will also have the responsibility to follow all aspects of Food Safety, Allergen Laws and HACCP controls, including the logging of hot and cold temperatures and that of fridges and freezers. Full flexibility is required with this role for covering at short notice of annual leave and sickness.
