Our client is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced MHE Supervisor to join their expanding team in Minworth. This role is essential in maintaining and enhancing the standards of our FLT driver workforce and fleet. How You Will Contribute
As the MHE Supervisor, you will be integral to the smooth operation and safety of the warehouse. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Training and Development: Ensure that all training is conducted in alignment with our program and timeframes, meeting operational needs in accordance with legislation and DP World policy. This encompasses assessments, onboarding, and Assessment of Skills (AOS).
* Safety Inspections: Take responsibility for internal racking inspections and MHE safety inspections, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
* Driver Management: Conduct regular one-to-one and weekly briefings with all MHE drivers to ensure they are informed and compliant with operational standards.
* Documentation: Ensure that all paperwork detailing training is produced promptly and accurately, providing clear evidence of training undertaken.
* Safe Working Practices: Promote safe working practices during manual and mechanical handling training, ensuring all MHE drivers adhere to health and safety regulations.
* Coaching and Behavioural Guidance: Provide coaching and guidance to MHE drivers, promoting a culture of safe working practices.
* Data Analysis and Reporting: Effectively analyse and report on MHE driver audit data, providing insights and recommendations to the Operations Manager and Health and Safety Manager regarding training requirements and workforce development.
* Safety Investigations: Take full ownership of safety investigations for any accidents or near misses involving MHE, ensuring thorough and prompt resolution.
* Facility Organisation: Maintain orderliness in the facility or warehouse at all times, enhancing operational efficiency.
What You Will Bring
To thrive in this role, you will need:
* Warehouse Training Experience: A proven track record in a training function within a warehouse environment is essential.
* Manual Handling Expertise: A sound knowledge of manual handling techniques, with an assessor-level qualification.
* RTITB Lift Truck Instructor Qualification: This qualification is essential, though relevant equivalents may be considered.
* Pivot Truck and Reach Truck Experience: This is crucial, given the prevalence of pivot trucks on site.
* Self-Motivation and Initiative: Ability to work independently, meeting strict deadlines and demonstrating a flexible team approach.
* Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
* Investigation Experience: Previous experience with investigations is advantageous.
* Organisational Skills: High level of organisational proficiency and computer literacy.
* Training Package Development: Experience in writing training packages is desirable.
