See Job description. The post holder will undertake clinical work in a highly specialised area which requires consideration of the risks of radiation and cross infection. The person needs to possess the empathy and skills to help patients through difficult and complex procedures.
Responsibilities include:
1. Assessing patient referrals and managing care.
2. Assisting in planning and co-ordination of daily workload within the department.
3. Performing processing and production of results to the highest technical standards.
4. Supervising Technologists/radiographers and support staff as required.
5. Supporting the PET-CT Superintendent, Nuclear Medicine Chief Technologist, and Lead Superintendent.
6. Working collaboratively with other clinical colleagues to provide an efficient and effective service.
7. Ensuring compliance with regulatory controls and rules for a safe working environment in accordance with local rules for radiation protection and Health and Safety.
8. Working in all Nuclear Medicine departments and fulfilling weekend and evening duties as required.
