Job overview
To provide secretarial support for the Maternity Medical Secretary team, Consultants, and their teams.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to provide administrative support to the Maternity Medical Secretary team, in particular, be responsible for the proofreading of all outsourced letters for the Maternity Consultant team.
They will provide cover for absent PA/Medical Secretaries – answering the telephone, dealing with the post, and other general administrative duties. The post holder will provide an empathic and sensitive contact for patients / relatives and carers undertaking work under the direction of the Maternity Medical Secretary team.

Qualifications
* AMSPAR or equivalent experience
* RSA III audio typewriting or equivalent
* Medical Terminology (RSA level) or equivalent
Knowledge and Experience
* Good command of English Language

* Experience in a healthcare setting

* Good organisational skills and ability to multitask
* Ability to deal with stressful and sensitive situations
