Globally, we employ over 70,000 employees and operate in 48 countries The role: Day Supervisor This key position and challenging role of the Day Supervisor reports directly to the Data Centre Manager, deputising in their absence, you will be key to the Day Engineering team operations and maintenance of the data centres and infrastructure. Our site dedicated Day Supervisor will have line-management responsibility for all non-shift engineering and FM operatives, ensuring that planned and reactive/corrective works are carried out with minimal impact to site operations and task records are maintained for all activities within the client documentation repository and CMMS. The Day Supervisor role will be to act as a technical coordination point for the Day Engineer team day-to-day maintenance activities, including advising the Data Centre Manager with OP18 - PPM Planners, Suppliers and other support teams. Key activities involve the role of Pressure systems and Confined spaces AP. The Day Supervisor will be the qualifying supervisor QS and the point of liaison between CBRE and the client services team who will be responsible for ensuring all client services works are scheduled and completed in line with the client's scope of works SOW. Ensure the highest engineering standards are achieved and maintained at all times by both 3rd party specialist and engineering staff alike.Oversee competencies of 3rd party specialist and engineering staff, train, coach and mentor the engineering team to ensure maximum critical infrastructure uptime. responsibilities are as follows: - Setting of goals and objectives - Assignment of training and development plans - Performance management and succession planning - Audit of self-delivered planned and reactive/corrective works - Point of contact/liaison for all client services works/request. - Attendance at client services planning meetings - Qualifying supervisor under NICEIC, ensuring all testing and certification is fully compliant. - Responsible for non-critical subcontractor liaison and management. - Provide point of continuity between shift managers, day team, ASD and Technical operations. - First point of contact for all site-based activities - Provide updates to ASD on ongoing site works, including planned and reactive works being Carried out on night and weekend shifts. - Assist shift managers and Datacentre Manager with the management of P1/P2/P3 incidents. - Manage site stores and critical spares/deliveries and CMMS Stock module. - Work with shift and cafm teams to manage stock control for critical spares - Act as procurement champion to add value to procurement activities and provide best value for client. - Manage supply partner performance meeting schedule and action tracker - Liaise with Datacentre Manager on ppm scheduling, alignment and assist with the review and submission of annual ppm planners. - Liaise with shift managers on upkeep of site logbooks, ensuring statutory compliance records are maintained. - Having a good working knowledge of health and safety legislation and bring any shortfalls observed to the attention of the relevant people - Liaise positively and professionally with client representatives, contractors, and customers. - Ensure compliance with relevant legislation. - Liaise with, audit, and manage sub-contractors. - Ensure a professional image of the company is presented to clients and visitors and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and always promoted. - Carry out any other duties deemed reasonable by the line manager. Skills, Knowledge and Experience: - Holds at least C&G certification in one of the following Electrical, Mechanical or pressure systems. - Previous experience as QS, pressure systems AP or HVAP Preferred. - Sound knowledge of Building Services in a Critical Environment. - Management experience in dealing with sub-contractors and supply chain partners. - Demonstrate previous responsibility in managing policies and systems such as H&S, QA, environmental and corporate while complying with current and appropriate legislation and standards. - Able to co-ordinate and manage multiple works, end-to-end across a diverse and complex site. - Proven track record in the development of positive contractor / client relations and communications. - Work within agreed systems and processes and maintain accurate records. - Valid H&S qualification is desirable - Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are adhered to for all tasks to ensure safe working practices and carry out Dynamic Risk Assessments where required. - Previously held or ability to obtain security clearance to BPSS and SC.
