Sellick Partnership is pleased to be recruiting for an Employment Lawyer to join a well-established Council in London.
The assignment will be for an initial 3-month contract, with a view to extend on a rolling basis. This position will be for 4 days per week and will require office attendance once per fortnight. You may also be required to attend tribunals when necessary. Our client needs a locum Employment Lawyer to join their team as soon as possible, so candidates who are available immediately or on short notice periods are preferred.
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of employment law and experience working in a similar role so they can hit the ground running. SEND tribunal experience is desirable, but not essential.
Role responsibilities:
* Representing the Council before the Employment Tribunal
* Conducting advocacy
* Working closely with senior managers and stakeholders on a range of employment law disputes
* Providing employment law advice
* Handling a caseload of contentious matters
The successful Employment Lawyer will benefit from:

This role would be suited to a Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister, who is confident dealing with a contentious Employment caseload. The successful candidate may be required to attend Courts or Tribunals, so willingness to advocate is essential.
