Shopper Marketing Manager Full Time | Permanant Role As an experienced Shopper Marketing Manager you will be responsible for helping to grow our business in the large UK DIY retailers by implementing strong category management principles and bringing our leading decorative paint brands to life: in store and online. Creating and implementing best-in-class category management principles and omni-channel shopper marketing campaigns, you will ensure maximum exposure for our products throughout the year and at key retail periods in the calendar. The role will expect you to use data driven insight to collaborate with customers and bring together internal cross-functional teams to achieve sales and profit objectives. You will own the channel activation plans and develop strategies to convert shoppers across all point of purchase opportunities. Key responsibilities: Be the account and associated Shopper expert, sharing insights with internal colleagues and customers Co-ordinate internal teams to ensure account plans are delivered and profit KPIs are achieved Co-develop and implement shopper marketing plans, based on Category Management and Consumer insights, that add value to our business and align to customer plans that inspire and excite our accounts and their Shoppers Understand and recommend ways in which category management projects could be executed within accounts and co-marketing opportunities to reinforce category excellence and maximise identified growth drivers Manage and implement all shopper marketing activation within the accounts Working closely with Brand Marketing, Digital Teams and Sales, ensure activation plans drive sales, margin and customer engagement through delivering innovative shopper experiences across the relevant touch points of each customer’s shopping journey including promotions and new product launches to influence behaviour and conversion Partner with the relevant brand teams to: deliver 360-degree customer activation where relevant and own any creative briefs by engaging with relevant agencies where required to deliver tailored customer content/materials gain greater understanding of Shoppers and analyse trends to scope, recommend and execute plans, identifying opportunities and areas of improvement for our customers Working with our Digital Teams, ensure our brands are fully visible on the digital shelf and activated through account digital platforms Link the digital shelf and in-store solutions to create a seamless omni-channel approach Play a key role throughout the account sell-in process to ensure delivery of key propositions through proactive Shopper activation concepts Create plans to train and develop customer paint ambassadors through engaging presentations and inspirational events where appropriate Produce the required activation trackers, evaluate return on investment and recommend changes for improvements Provide monthly progress reports and actions against the shopper marketing plan, budget and KPIs Regularly monitor the external market to identify trends and growth opportunities and to build an in-depth knowledge that contributes towards the planning process Bring the voice of the customer and end users into the business Our ideal candidate will have: Significant experience in category management in a leading brand marketing position, preferably in a fast moving environment. Commercial marketing experience with an understanding of the retail environment, developing customer strategies and implementing shopper activations A track record in co-ordinating projects that involves collaboration with customer’s and working with internal teams to achieve a common goal Strong analytical capabilities: interpretating data and using research to develop innovative and compelling shopper solutions A focus on results and ‘can do’ attitude with a proven track record of delivering in a profit driven environment Excellent communication skills, with a passion for influencing and leading change across multiple stakeholders A flair for problem solving Ability to work on and manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent prioritisation and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure Budget planning, management and accountability Agency management experience PPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
