Job Advert Role Description
Priory Hospital Arnold is a purpose built 52 bedded acute mental health hospital, comprising of two adult acute wards and 2 Psychiatric Intensive Care Units. At Priory Hospital Arnold our main focus is on patient experience right from the point of referral through to discharge and follow on support. We provide services for local NHS patients and out of area patients from the NHS. Main duties of the job:
We are seeking a proactive, compassionate, caring and recovery focused HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with excellent communication skills to join our existing dynamic multidisciplinary teams to be involved in holistic OT assessments and interventions to support planning and delivery of patient care. The multidisciplinary teams all work in a way that is collaborative, evidenced based and responsive to people’s needs.
The post holder will be involved in clinical supervision of Occupational Therapy support staff within the team providing guidance and focus to their work, ensuring safe working practices. Professional and clinical supervision will be provided by Senior OT / OT Head of Therapy Services and the post holder will link into the wider Priory OT network and will work cooperatively with colleagues to ensure high quality service provision and gain opportunities for support and Continual Professional Development. There will be opportunity to provide Occupational Therapy student placements in accordance with local agreements and standards and opportunity to support students from other disciplines. The post holder will liaise with a range of agencies and services.
