An amazing opportunity has arisen for band 6 nurses on our newly purpose-built, nurse-led female psychiatric intensive care - PICU (Abbey Ward), which is the first in Hampshire, a 10-bedded female psychiatric unit. It has adopted the just culture, whilst creating a safe therapeutic environment for learning and development. It will promote nurses to have a powerful voice within MDT, with a continuous drive for improvement by staff. There will be highly visible clinical presence, with support and leadership from a clinical nurse lead Band 7 and band 6 occupational therapist. Abbey Ward facilitates a reflective culture to enable the team to work in synergy and enhance decision-making. A specialist development plan has been devised providing all staff with bespoke training, ensuring staff have the required skills and knowledge, to provide the highest standards of safe care.

Main duties of the job
On the ward, there will be regular complex case discussions which incorporate full MDT input and reflective practice, which will aid you in your professional development and support in decision-making and formulating care plans for complex needs.
This is an excellent and exciting opportunity for the right candidate to become involved in the continuous development of a proactive and forward-thinking team. This post holder will be an expert practitioner and a source of expert advice.
