Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant Location: North West England, Lancashire, Leyland Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours Salary: £89.38 - £100 Per day Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team in Leyland, Lancashire. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support students' learning and development. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, your primary role will involve assisting with planning, delivering, and evaluating learning activities. You will also provide guidance and support to individual students or small groups, as well as assist in maintaining a positive learning environment. Job Duties: Supporting teachers in the delivery of lessons Assisting with planning and preparing learning materials Providing one-to-one support to students as needed Assessing students' progress and reporting back to teachers Supervising students during activities and break times Assisting with classroom management and behaviour management Required Qualifications: Minimum of Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification Enhanced DBS check Education: GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths Experience: Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant Knowledge and Skills: Strong communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team Understanding of child development and learning processes Preferred Qualifications: Level 4 or above Teaching Assistant qualification First Aid certification Working Conditions: This role involves working in a school environment, following the school term calendar.
