An established engineering company based in Birmingham requires an Interim Financial Controller. Key responsibilities: Responsible for the financial health of the business, reporting to the General Manager. Managing and directing the development, interpretation, and reporting of financial data to support the attainment of plant/business objectives of the group. Planning, coordinating, and administering the budgeting process for the manufacturing facilities. Duties: Creation of monthly management accounts for the company (profit and loss, gross margin analysis, balance sheet) providing financial insight and analysis to the group. VAT returns. Monthly journal preparation and posting. Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts. Prepare financial audit and year-end preparation. Lead forecasts and budgeting activities. Adhere to monthly group deadlines including trial balance and account reconciliation using the groups accounting software. Experience and skills: Previous experience as finance site lead. Minimum of 7 years finance experience with ideally 2 years in a similar role. Professional accounting qualification, ideally ACA or ACCA, CIMA. Expertise in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and planning. Salary: £60,000 per annum. Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday 37 hours per week. This is a 6 month interim contract that starts immediately
