Assistant Depot Manager – Wellingborough
We are recruiting for an Assistant Depot Manager to support the Depot Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of a busy plant hire depot in Wellingborough. This well-established company has grown significantly over the years, operating multiple depots across the UK with a large fleet of plant and machinery. Despite its growth, the company maintains a strong team-focused culture and values hardworking individuals who take a hands-on approach.
This role involves overseeing daily depot operations, ensuring high safety standards, and managing a team to deliver excellent customer service. You will play a key role in maintaining efficiency, compliance, and the smooth running of the depot.
Salary: £38,000+ per year DOE

Health & Safety Leadership
Ensure a safe working environment for staff, subcontractors, and visitors.
Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Manage first aid provisions, fire safety measures, and emergency procedures.
Depot Operations Management
Oversee the hire desk, transport logistics, and staffing levels.
Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including holiday cover.
Maintain security of buildings, equipment, and vehicles.
Compliance & Reporting
Monitor fleet servicing schedules and ensure timely maintenance.
Track daily availability, outstanding job sheets, and repair reports.
Report any losses, damage, or defects to the Depot Manager.What We’re Looking For:
