The key focus of the role is to gain experience and knowledge in the aspects of sampling techniques, scientific analysis and data gathering for interpretation by either Intertek or client personnel. During the first 3 months for this role and before your first offshore mobilisation, the Field Chemist will be embedded and trained within an onshore laboratory pillar to gain the skills required to support analytical tasks. You will simultaneously undergo dedicated field project training, to develop the core skills required to support offshore sampling and analyses. The role benefits from wide and varied experiences giving insight into many of the operations undertaken on-site. Offsite working conditions typically are synonymous with a harsh North Sea environment. Due to workload and staff availability, a Field Chemist may be asked to carry out a task that would ideally be delegated to a more senior team member. In this situation, as much support as possible will be provided to aid the individual in carrying out the task. Responsibilities Field Services Operations
