What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a new Headteacher who will demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting the ethos of our school, who will be approachable and visible to children, staff, parents and carers. You will be warm and creative, and passionate about ensuring that every child gets an excellent education. You will have the energy and inspiration to move the school forwards, and the sensitivity to preserve its special character.
Since 2023 Northburn Primary School has had the added benefit of an SEN base, providing focussed support for children with special educational needs. Our school is passionate about ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
The post will require the successful applicant to demonstrate high levels of emotional resilience and a calm, positive approach when dealing with behaviour.

Following the retirement of our highly regarded Headteacher, we are looking for a new school leader. Northburn Primary School was judged to be Good by Ofsted at its last inspection in October 2022. We are looking for a leader to drive and develop our unique potential, whilst ensuring the success and stability of the school is maintained.
