Job opportunity: Senior Architect in Perth
Are you a dynamic and resourceful Senior Architect with strong leadership skills? MSA is seeking an experienced professional to join our Perth office and lead bespoke residential and hospitality projects. We are looking for a talented individual with a passion for design excellence, sustainable architecture, and a proven track record in project leadership.
Key Responsibilities
– Lead architectural projects from concept through to completion, ensuring the highest standards of design, quality, and compliance.
– Manage and mentor a team of architects and designers, nurturing a collaborative and high-performance environment.
– Conduct design and technical workshops and prepare detailed specifications and drawings.
– Liaise closely with clients, consultants, and contractor teams to deliver successful projects.
– Integrate sustainable design principles into all stages of project development.
– Manage project risks and look for opportunities to enhance efficiencies and processes.
– Provide creative design solutions, maintaining a strong focus on the company’s vision and client needs.
Requirements
– A minimum of five years of professional experience as an architect with a comprehensive portfolio showcasing high-end residential and hospitality projects.
– You should have a good knowledge of construction methods, detailing, current legislation, building regulations and planning systems.
– Proven experience in senior architectural roles, including team management and leadership.
– Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills with a positive attitude.
– You should be confident working directly with clients, consultants, statutory authorities and contractors.
– ARB registration is preferred, and proficiency in CAD drawing and 3D visualisation is required. An ability to sketch by hand is advantageous.
– Strong understanding of all RIBA work stages and direct experience in sustainable design and architecture.
– The ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a keen eye for design and detail.
– Excellent written and spoken English language skills with permission to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
