This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance works across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main MEH, cabling and associated support services.
The role
As a Quality Control Inspector, you’ll ensure static and rotating mechanical equipment is installed in the correct orientation:
1. Perform inspections in accordance with the ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
2. Liaise with the client’s representative for conducting day-to-day inspections during construction activities.
3. Ensure installation of equipment complies with ECS Code, drawings, vendor and code requirements.
4. Maintain LTQR’s as required during inspections ensuring all signatures on LTQR and ITP are completed.
This role is full time, with a four-day week every other week, based at Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater. There is a secondment allowance and accommodation available for anyone based more than two hours from the site.
Essential experience for the Quality Control Inspector
* Experience as a mechanical QC inspector
* Experience working in a highly regulated industry (oil and gas, nuclear, etc.)
* Experience with rotational equipment
Qualifications for the Quality Control Inspector
* Degree in engineering or time-served apprenticeship in mechanical discipline preferred
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
