Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of the bar and restaurant, ensuring a high level of service and quality. Implement and maintain operational policies and procedures. Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage staff, fostering a positive work environment. Conduct regular performance evaluations and encourage professional development. Financial Oversight: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Monitor inventory and control costs to maximise profitability. Customer Experience: Ensure that all guests receive outstanding service. Address customer feedback and resolve any issues to enhance satisfaction. Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement promotional strategies that attract new customers and retain existing ones. Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations. Maintain a clean and safe environment for both staff and customers. Community Engagement: Build relationships with local vendors, suppliers, and the community. Participate in community events to promote The Old House. Qualifications: Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets. Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu development and inventory management. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
