What's involved with this role: Temporary Business Services Assistant /Admin – Transport Services Job Ref: Derbyshire 5255632 Pay Rate: £12.94 per hour PAYE Hours per week: 37 Monday - Friday, normal working hours Role Length: This opening assignment is for 6 months City: Matlock, Derbyshire Hybrid working available for the right candidate The post holder will work in the Specialised Transport section, which procures and manages home to school transport services for students with special needs and disabilities. This front-line service is responsible for organising the transport arrangements for approximately 1700 students with additional needs, to schools and establishments in Derbyshire and further afield. The environment is extremely busy, reactive and challenging. The successful candidates will support the wider team and work as a team player. They must be able to organise and prioritise their own workload as well as demonstrate administrative and IT competency. They will be effective communicators both in writing and on the telephone. Qualifications: Qualified to level 3 in business administration and/or relevant and substantial experience. Skills & Experience: Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation. Proven experience in a customer-focused environment, with skills in financial monitoring and working across various disciplines. Excellent organisational and communication skills, a strong understanding of data management systems Ability to work under pressure, ability to work in a very fast paced environment and organise and prioritise tasks, and a commitment to high levels of customer care. Knowledge of administrative practices and processes. Knowledge of data protection legislation and issues. Strong Understanding of data management systems Experience working in a customer focussed and busy environment. IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite, Mosaic).
