Role Overview:
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our class teachers and the special educational needs team to provide tailored support to children who experience challenges with social, emotional, and mental health. You will help to create a nurturing, safe, and engaging learning environment that enables children to succeed and develop their skills both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
Assist in the delivery of individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
Work with the class teacher to implement differentiated activities and interventions.
Support the emotional well-being of students, promoting positive behaviour and self-regulation.
Help foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their engagement and motivation.
