Role Overview The Graduate Civil Engineer role provides an exciting opportunity for recent graduates to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience within the civil engineering infrastructure sector. This permanent position offers exposure to a variety of projects, supported learning from mentors, coaches, and line managers, and the chance to contribute to a fast-growing and innovative organisation. Duties and Responsibilities Project Support : Assist with site investigations and the implementation of civil engineering projects. Provide technical support to project delivery teams to ensure project goals are achieved. Contribute to the accurate and efficient preparation of daily site records and weekly/monthly productivity reports for the scheme manager. Compliance and Quality Assurance : Ensure adherence to systems, design information, procedures, and quality control mechanisms. Assess and manage potential risks associated with specific projects. Maintain a strong understanding of customer requirements to ensure that delivered assets or services meet design specifications. Communication and Collaboration : Liaise effectively with colleagues, subcontractors, architects, consultants, and clients. Participate in team meetings and maintain clear, professional communication across all project stakeholders. Problem-Solving and Innovation : Think creatively and logically to resolve design and development challenges. Leverage appropriate digital tools and technology to support project objectives and delivery. Skills and Experience: Essential Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (recent graduates or those with limited experience are encouraged to apply). Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to apply technical expertise effectively. Strong problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to anticipate and overcome challenges. Competent in using Microsoft Office software. Ability to write clear, concise, and professional reports. Highly motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Valid UK driving licence. Desirable Exposure to civil or structural engineering projects through internships or coursework. Familiarity with digital engineering tools and software.
