1st/2nd Line Support Engineer
Rayleigh - Essex | On-site (Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm)
Up to £30,000 DOE
A 1st/2nd line support engineer is required to join a market-leading SME business that specializes in protecting buildings, infrastructure, and surfaces. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, the company is dedicated to ensuring the longevity and sustainability of structures.
The Role
As a 1st/2nd line support engineer, you will be responsible for managing emails and tickets, checking data security, scheduling meetings with IT partners, and researching and exploring new technology solutions.
Some of what you will be doing:
1. Resolve all issues as a first point of contact where possible (software and hardware).
2. Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, ensuring adherence to project goals, timelines, and resource allocation.
3. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to analyse project requirements.
4. Address complex technical challenges and issues encountered during project development, providing solutions to keep the project within scope.
5. Management of Exchange Online, inclusive of troubleshooting issues.
6. Management of devices using Microsoft InTune or other MDM solutions to enforce security policies and control access to corporate resources.
7. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Microsoft 365 services, hardware, software, and network problems.
8. Identify and assess cyber-security risks, vulnerabilities, and threats, and create risk mitigation strategies.
9. Manage User Access Control.
Ideally, your skills and experience will include:
1. Proven commercial experience with 1st/2nd Line IT Support.
2. A particular strength with O365 suite (SharePoint, Power BI, etc.) and a willingness to progress in this area is essential.
3. A working knowledge of InTune would be highly beneficial.
4. A self-starter with ambitions for career progression.
